By way of this notice, SANTANDER CONSUMER FINANCE, S.A., an institution registered with Banco de España (the Bank of Spain) under number 0224, with its registered office in Madrid, Avda. de Cantabria, s/n, 28660 Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, the owner of this website (hereinafter “the Bank” or the “Website Owner”, indiscriminately), wishes to inform the Users of the Website www.santanderconsumer.com (hereinafter the “Portal”) about its Cookies Policy, so that they are aware of the cookies that shall be used be used as they browse through the Portal, and may consent to the same being used.

2. Concept of Cookies
Cookies are files which are downloaded and stored on the computer of the User browsing the Internet and which, in particular, contain a number which allows the User’s computer to be unequivocally identified, even when the User’s location or IP address changes.

It links specific sessions to specific a visitor. Used to identify users that have already visited Incapsula.
OptanonAlertBoxClosed OneTrust 12 months This cookie is set by websites using certain versions of the cookie law compliance solution from OneTrust.  It is set after visitors have seen a cookie information notice and in some cases only when they actively close the notice down.  It enables the website not to show the message more than once to a user.  The cookie has a one year lifespan and contains no personal information.
OptanonConsent OneTrust 12 months This cookie is set by the cookie compliance solution from OneTrust. It stores information about the categories of cookies the site uses and whether visitors have given or withdrawn consent for the use of each category. This enables site owners to prevent cookies in each category from being set in the users browser, when consent is not given. The cookie has a normal lifespan of one year, so that returning visitors to the site will have their preferences remembered. It contains no information that can identify the site visitor.

 

4.2. Third-party cookies (Analysis cookies)
Below is a list of the third-party analysis cookies that may be downloaded onto your computer when using the Portal, which are sent to your computer or terminal by a domain or device managed by a third party other than the Website Owner, as well as the purposes they serve.

  • Analysis cookies: These allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users on the Portal. The information collected with these cookies is used to measure activity on the Portal and to create anonymous browsing profiles of its users, in order to make improvements in accordance with usage data analysis.

It appears to be a variation of the _gat cookie which is used to limit the amount of data recorded high traffic volume websites.
___utmvxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Google Analytics Few seconds This is a cookie that, in the case of using the user-defined report in Google Analytics and having coded something on your site for custom segmentation, will be installed on the user’s computer, so that Google Analytics will know how to classify that visitor.
